Kenzi watched him, taking another half step back as he started to laugh like she had just done the funniest thing in the world. She waited then, watching to see if she would need to run and she was almost ready to spring into action by the time he moved to wrap her up in a hug.

She even went so far as to press the sticks against his side, almost like she might stab him, till she realized the hug was harmless.

"Seriously? You mean he's really, really, gone?" She tipped her head back to look at him. "You know what this means, right?"
